We were thrilled to join the latest episode of the Scaling Green Tech podcast, hosted by the team at Adopter.
In the episode, “Rhea Dabriwala and Naveen Shivalingam - Turning Agricultural Residue into Climate Solutions”, we sat down with hosts Matt Jaworski and Katherine Keddie to share the story behind Ground Up - and why we believe biochar is the foundation for a new generation of carbon markets.
We talked through our journey from a university accelerator to building industrial-scale biochar hubs across India, and how agricultural residue could unlock up to 1 billion tons of CO₂ removal every year. We also explored what Carbon Market 2.0 looks like, why trust and transparency are non-negotiable, and how carbon removal can unlock economic, social and ecological value for millions of smallholder farmers.
Recording this episode was a valuable moment to reflect on the scale of what we’re building - and the urgent road ahead to deliver a carbon removal solution rooted in local impact, with truly global potential.
